Bilal Wani: nine years in Lal Chowk.
How a Srinagar electrician became HelpRush's most-booked Elite-tier pro — and what he thinks about every other platform he's tried.

Bilal Wani is forty-one. He has been an electrician since he was twenty-two. For most of those nineteen years he worked alone, advertising by word of mouth, trading favours with the local hardware store for referrals.
He joined HelpRush in late 2025. Six months later he is one of three ELITE-tier pros in Srinagar.
The first job
His first HelpRush dispatch was a fan repair in Sonwar. It came in at nine in the evening — a time he would not normally take walk-in work. The job paid ₹420 against an industry-standard ₹350. He arrived in eleven minutes. The customer left a five-star review the same night.
“I had been on three other platforms before HelpRush. They asked for a kit fee, a profile-promotion fee, a training fee. None of them ever showed me to the customer by name. On HelpRush my page is the first thing she saw.”
What changed in his work
Bilal credits two things. The first is the public profile — repeat customers find him directly through helprush.in/pros/bilal-wani and book him by name. The second is the predictability of dispatch: he knows by the time he wakes up roughly how many jobs he will get that day, and the algorithm respects his stated max.
He has trained four apprentices through the platform. All four are now PRO-tier in their own right.
What he wants next
A scheduled-jobs ledger that lets him plan the week ahead. We're building it for Sprint 4. He'll be the first user.
