HelpRush turns its verified professionals into its distribution network

Srinagar · 24 August 2026

Every verified professional on the platform is being issued printed cards carrying a QR code to their own booking link. A customer who scans one books that professional directly; if they are unavailable, the job is dispatched to another verified professional of the same trade within seconds. Professionals earn ₹101 for each new customer introduced this way.

HelpRush, the real-time marketplace for local services operated by Horfay Taqnia Private Limited, has begun issuing printed booking cards to its verified professionals across Srinagar. Each card carries the professional's name, trade, verification status and a QR code that opens a booking for that specific person.

The cards are threaded with a loop of string so they can be hung rather than filed — in a lobby, by a door, in a drawing room. The intent is to place a booking route inside the home before the customer needs one.

How a scan is handled

Scanning a card opens a pre-filled booking naming that professional. The job is offered to them ahead of general dispatch. If the offer is declined or expires — the professional is on another job, off-duty, or unreachable — it cascades automatically into RushHour, HelpRush's dispatch engine, and is offered to every verified professional of the same trade in a widening radius until one accepts.

The customer therefore receives help whether or not the professional named on the card is available. HelpRush considers this the load-bearing property of the scheme: a card that fails once is a card that is thrown away.

What the professional earns

A professional earns ₹101 for each new customer who arrives through their card and completes a first job of ₹1,000 or more, capped at ten referrals. The bounty is paid as wallet credit the professional can see and withdraw, rather than as a reduction in HelpRush's commission.

HelpRush evaluated and rejected the commission-waiver alternative on the grounds that it costs the company the same amount while being materially less visible to the recipient. Where a referred customer goes on to book the referring professional, the professional is paid for both the introduction and the job; the platform describes this as the intended outcome of the scheme rather than an exception to it.

Context

HelpRush is bootstrapped and operates in one city. The company has previously said it will not pursue the advertising-led customer acquisition typical of national home-services platforms, and has framed this programme as using its supply base as its distribution channel instead.

The programme went live in August 2026. HelpRush has not yet published performance data for it and has said any figures will appear on its public facts page with the sample size stated.
